CATHEDRAL CITY — November 2, 2026. The Desert Recreation District’s Esperanza Park listing says the Dream Homes neighborhood park has been closed for grass reseeding since October 12 and is scheduled to reopen November 12, 2026.
What the park contains
The 7.5-acre site at 30610 San Diego Drive has playgrounds for two age groups, an off-leash dog park with separated areas, exercise equipment, basketball, futsal, small soccer practice fields and picnic amenities.
Respect the closure until the operator confirms
A published planned date is not proof that the park has reopened early. Reseeding and irrigation work can require restrictions on walking surfaces and fields even after a park gate opens.
Reservation and access questions
The district offers a park pavilion reservation link. Teams should not assume playing fields are regulation size or available for organized matches. Check the latest district announcement and maintenance notices before visiting.
